About Our Annual Saxophone and Woodwind Workshop


 The TRSQ will be sponsoring our 22nd annual saxophone and woodwind workshop next summer at California University of PA from June 28th - July 2nd,  2012.

This five day workshop is designed to expose saxophonists, clarinetists, flutists, and double reed players to a broad spectrum of musical experiences, including saxophone/woodwind performance in all styles, literature, plus provide study of reeds, mouthpieces and instrument repair and maintenance. You will be able to experience playing in small and large ensembles, private lessons, big band section playing, jazz improvisation classes and jam sessions. In addition there will be exhibits by local music stores. You will be able to purchase music, accessories, gifts and mouthpieces. Come prepared. The University is located about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Come and enjoy making music and new friends.


 This workshop is open to all saxophone & woodwind enthusiasts from middle school students to senior citizens. A typical group will include students, teachers, amateurs and professionals. Registration & Cost


 The cost of the five day workshop is $525.00. This includes your room and board and tuition for the workshop. If you wish to arrive and register on Sunday the 26th of June, you will need to include an extra $45.00. You can print the registration form and send it with your payment. We have had many private individuals donate to our workshop each year. Some like to give scholarships and others prefer to have the money used for other needs.
